What White Label Means
In white label clothing manufacturing, the factory owns a catalog of pre-designed, pre-approved garment styles. Buyers select styles from the catalog, apply their brand labels and packaging, and receive finished garments in 20–30 days. There is no design brief, no pattern development, and no sampling phase.
This makes white label significantly faster and cheaper than private label or OEM production. It is the right choice when speed to market matters more than design exclusivity — for a first product test, a seasonal range, or a quick response to market demand.
Honest limitation #1 — No design exclusivity
White label does not give you design exclusivity. The same styles are available for other buyers to order and rebrand. If a competitor orders the same style, your garments will look identical except for the label. This is the fundamental trade-off of white label. If owning your design is important to your brand strategy, private label or OEM is the right choice.
Honest limitation #2 — Stock availability risk
White label depends on the factory holding the raw materials for pre-designed styles. If a particular colourway or fabric batch runs out before your order is confirmed, your chosen style may not be available in that colour. This is uncommon but possible — particularly for popular neutral colours during peak season. To avoid this, confirm style and colourway availability before committing to a marketing campaign or pre-orders. We confirm stock availability within 24 hours of inquiry.

Who This Is Right For
The right manufacturing model depends on where your brand actually is right now — not where you want it to be in three years. Most brands waste time and money by choosing private label when white label would serve them better at their current stage, or vice versa.
White label is right for you if...
You want to test a product idea before committing to custom development
White label lets you put a real product in customers' hands in 20–30 days. If it sells, you have validation. If it doesn't, you haven't lost a design development budget.
You are launching your first brand and don't have a tech pack
Private label and OEM require a tech pack or detailed brief. White label doesn't. Select a style, send your logo in vector format, confirm colourway and quantity. That's it.
You need goods for a specific date that is less than 45 days away
If your launch date is tight, white label is the only model that can realistically deliver. Private label with sampling takes 55–70 days minimum.
You are adding a seasonal range to an existing line
Established brands use white label for seasonal additions — a summer capsule, a collaboration drop — without diverting development capacity from their core private label range.
Private label / OEM is right for you if...
Your garment design is a core part of your brand identity
If the fit, construction, or silhouette of your garment is what makes your brand different from competitors, you need private label. White label gives you someone else's block.
You are building a brand you intend to scale or sell
Investors and acquirers assess brand defensibility. A private label product owned by you — with exclusive design rights — has more value than a rebranded white label product.
Your target retail price requires a specific quality level
White label styles are produced at a fixed quality and construction spec. If your price point requires a specific GSM, seam type, or finish not available in the catalog, you need custom production.
You have already tested with white label and know what sells
The best brands use white label to validate, then switch to private label for their winning styles. This is the optimal path — test fast, then own what works.
What's Included
White label orders include everything needed to go from style selection to shipped goods with your brand on them. The garment construction, fabric, and silhouette are fixed — your branding is applied at every visible touch point.
You will need to supply your logo in vector format (AI, EPS, or PDF — not PNG), Pantone colour references for each colour in your brand identity, and hang tag artwork if you want printed tags. We handle everything else.
Pricing includes FOB Chittagong — fabric, production, AQL 2.5 inspection, all branding elements below, and export documentation. No hidden charges at invoice.

White Label vs Print-on-Demand
Print-on-demand (POD) platforms like Printify and Printful are often presented alongside white label manufacturing as equivalent options. They are not. The business models, product quality, and brand outcomes are fundamentally different.
POD is appropriate for testing a graphic design concept with zero upfront cost. Bulk white label manufacturing is appropriate for building a real brand with real product quality. Here is why they are different in practice.
| Factor | Print-on-Demand | Bulk White Label (SDF) |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | Zero | MOQ × per-piece cost |
| Cost per piece | High (no volume price) | $6–18 FOB — 40–60% lower |
| Fabric quality | Supplier's stock blank | You select from catalog |
| Garment construction | Standard — no control | Fixed spec per style |
| Branding options | Print only | Woven labels, hang tags, packaging |
| Woven label | Not available | Included standard |
| Certification | None | GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BSCI, 10 more |
| Retailer onboarding | Not supported | BSCI / SEDEX docs available |
| Production time | 3–10 days per order | 20–30 days bulk |
| Unit economics at scale | Margin gets worse at scale | Margin improves at scale |
The right progression
If you are testing a concept with zero budget: print-on-demand. If you have validated demand and are ready to build a real brand: bulk white label. If your brand identity depends on design ownership: private label. These are not competing options — they are sequential stages for a growing brand.
Pricing Guide
White label pricing is typically 10–20% lower than private label because there are no design development costs and no sampling fees. All prices are FOB Chittagong and include fabric, production, AQL inspection, branding, and export packing.

Certifications
White label orders are not a stripped-down service. Every white label order goes through our standard AQL 2.5 inspection and is produced under all 13 active certifications. GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified styles come with transaction certificates for your records.
For EU buyers: white label orders from GOTS-certified styles can support organic cotton claims on your packaging. For UK buyers: BSCI and SEDEX documentation is available for retailer onboarding requirements. For US buyers: C-TPAT certification applies to all shipments.

Questions
The factory produces pre-designed styles. You apply your brand labels and packaging. No design development. The trade-off: same styles available to other buyers — no design exclusivity. Best for market testing and fast launch.
White label: faster (20–30 days), lower cost, no design phase, no exclusivity. Private label: slower (55–70 days), higher cost, custom design, exclusively yours. Market testing → white label. Building a long-term differentiated brand → private label.
300 pieces per style. Flexible size distribution within that total (e.g. 50 XS / 100 S / 100 M / 50 L). Applies per style — a 2-style order requires 600 pieces minimum.
20–30 days from order confirmation to FOB-ready goods. No sampling phase. Faster than private label (40–45 days) because styles are pre-approved. Add ocean freight to your destination (20–35 days depending on port).
Labels (woven neck, hem, care), hang tags, poly bag packaging, and colour selection from available colourways. Construction, silhouette, and fabric are fixed per style. Changes to construction or fabric = private label territory.
Yes — all 13 certifications apply to every order, including white label. GOTS and OEKO-TEX transaction certificates issued per order for certified styles. BSCI and SEDEX documentation available for retailer onboarding.
