Standard Production Schedule

Total lead time is sampling plus bulk production plus shipping — but these stages aren't fully sequential in practice. Fabric sourcing for bulk often starts once a sample is approved, running in parallel with final pattern grading, which is why a well-run order rarely takes the simple sum of every stage added end-to-end.

Partially. Bulk fabric sourcing typically starts once your sample is approved, running alongside final grading and cutting-plan preparation — but bulk sewing itself only starts after sign-off, since it's built on the confirmed pattern from that approved sample.

What's the fastest realistic turnaround for a small order?

For a simple style at 300 pieces with a fast sample approval, roughly 5-6 weeks from tech pack to ready-to-ship is achievable — sampling (7-10 days) plus bulk production at the shorter end (21 days) plus a short QC window. Complex designs or slow approvals push this out significantly.

Why do peak seasons extend lead times even for the same order size?

Factory floor capacity is finite — during Feb-Mar and Aug-Oct, more brands are competing for the same production slots ahead of spring and holiday retail windows, which pushes queue time up even though the actual sewing time per garment doesn't change.

Should I build in buffer time beyond the quoted lead time?

Yes, generally 1-2 weeks. Customs clearance timing, port congestion, and inland transit to your warehouse add variability that's outside the factory's direct control, even when production itself runs exactly on schedule.
