Hoodie Fabric & Construction Options
Fabric choice drives both feel and cost. Brushed fleece (240–320gsm) is the standard choice for everyday hoodies — soft inner face, warm, moderate cost. French terry (260–340gsm) has a looped, uncut inner face — lighter, more breathable, and increasingly popular for premium streetwear. Loopback fleece sits between the two, with a slightly finer loop structure and better shape retention after washing.
Hood construction affects both fit and cost. A lined hood (fabric folded and stitched double) holds its shape better and drapes more cleanly, but adds fabric and labor cost versus a single-layer hood. Drawcords can be flat cotton tape, round cord, or ropes with metal or plastic aglets — each needs its own eyelet reinforcement, which we spec in the tech pack review before sampling.
Pocket style is a simple but visible choice: a kangaroo pocket (single pouch, both hands enter from the sides) is the classic option and slightly cheaper to construct. A split pocket (two separate compartments) costs a little more in stitching time but is preferred by some streetwear brands for its cleaner front panel line.

The 300-piece MOQ applies per style, and can typically be split across 3-4 colors and a full size range within that single style minimum — you don't need 300 pieces of one exact color.
Can you print or embroider on fleece without distorting the fabric?
Yes, with the right method for the fabric weight. Puff print and embroidery both work well on brushed fleece and French terry above 260gsm; on lighter fleece we recommend a stabilizer backing for embroidery to prevent puckering.
What's the difference between brushed fleece and French terry for my brand?
Brushed fleece is warmer and has a more traditional hoodie feel at a lower cost — good for basics and high-volume programs. French terry is lighter, drapes better, and reads as a more premium product — common for streetwear and elevated basics lines willing to pay a moderate premium per piece.
Do you offer oversized or cropped hoodie fits?
Yes. We grade to your spec sheet or reference garment — oversized, boxy, cropped, and standard fits are all available from the same fabric and construction options, provided the pattern is confirmed at the sampling stage.
